Hyundai and Kia Motors are expected to release eight partial-change models this year, including the Avante and Sportage. It is not a full change (full change) model, but performance and design are expected to improve significantly.

According to the related industry on April 23, Hyundai Motor will release 4 models of partial-change models in this year, including the Bellostar high-performance model, the i40 Merchandise improvement model, and the Avante part change model since launching the Tucson partial change model next month. Some partial change models are expected to apply next-generation engines and powertrain developed by Hyundai and Kia last year. The Veloster high-performance car is the first vehicle Hyundai to introduce as a high-performance brand `N` in Korea.

Kia Motors also released the K5 partial change model earlier this year, and the carnival partial change model. In the second half of the year, we will release the Sportage part change model.

Hyundai and Kia will show up to 8 different models this year.

Unlike a complete change, the partial change does not completely change the design of the frame or the engine, but also changes some design and engine performance, giving the consumer the impression of a new car. The automobile industry releases partial change models frequently because it can enjoy the `new car effect` in a situation where it is difficult to introduce complete change models frequently due to development cost problems.

In fact, Hyundai Motor introduced the New Rise model, a Sonata part change model, last March, and sold 7578 units, a 70% increase over the previous month. Kia Motors also sold 7755 units from January to March this year, when the Ray part change model released in December last year was sold in earnest, showing a 69.3% increase in sales from the same period last year. In the same period, the partial change K5 also increased 39.3% to 10,179 units.

Hyundai and Kia`s 8-part models, which will be released this year, are standard car models to be launched in North America and Europe. In addition, Hyundai Kia will release 12 new models this year. As a result, Hyundai and Kia Motors, whose sales targets have not been met for the third consecutive year since 2015, are interested in whether they can recover their self-esteem this year. A company official said, "Lowering the annual sales target from the previous year is the first since the company was founded," he said.

Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors announced sales of 7.55 million units, down by 700,000 units from the previous year, including 4.67 million units and 2.87 million units, respectively. In the first quarter of this year, Hyundai achieved a target of 22.43% (1,040,883 units) and Kia Motors (22,47%) (646,040 units).
