# Company worker A has received a KakaoTalk message asking him to borrow KRW 5.8 million for the money as he did not have internet banking due to a public certificate error from his brother-in-law. I tried to send the money and suddenly thought that it was a prize, but Mr. A repeatedly asked me to send it to the account number that he sent.

# Mr. B has suddenly received greetings from a girlfriend who has been a long time ago. Mr. B, who was lonely, answered me kindly, but my ex-girlfriend recently asked me to borrow it because I do not have enough money to do hospital treatment.

Users are cautioned due to phishing, which has recently hacked a KakaoTalk account and cheated on a family member or acquaintance, is taking off. Messenger hacking and phishing have been ongoing since the days of Nate, but in recent years, blogs, cafes, and the Internet community are coming more often.

According to Kakao, KakaoTalk MAU (Monthly Room Users) has steadily increased every year, exceeding 42 million last year. It can be seen that almost all people who use smartphones use it, and it is an attractive means of attack for criminals.

It is presumed that the account information leaked through KakaoTalk server hacking was exploited because user`s smartphone lost or account information of other sites leaked in most cases. Many users are using multiple services with the same ID and password. KakaoTalk accounts are not directly connected to the hack, but only basic information such as name and make up a new profile to acquaint yourself with the target, often approaching the target.

In fact, one user mentioned, "I was suspicious of the hacking because of the character of accessing the Naver account from abroad, and immediately changed the password. I heard that the old man sent a message to call me and KakaoTalk saying that I would like to borrow 900,000 won. It was too natural to set the same up to the photo.¡±

Therefore, when a new person who is not registered as a friend is talking to a cacao, a warning message "Please be careful when receiving a message such as a money request" is displayed. In addition, since the majority of phishing organizations are distributed in China, the profiles connected to other country codes indicate the flag of the region.

However, as the criminals approached the suspicion of starting a conversation that they had created a new account for KakaoTalk, they naturally lowered it and there is a limit to protection. Especially, it is said that the phenomenon of `Call phobia`, which refuses to be called recently, is more common in text conversation via SNS or IM than voice call, and attempts to exploit it for crimes are expected to increase more and more.

Kakao is not actively taking action even in this situation. One victim stated, "After the hacking of the KakaoTalk account, all of my uncle, sister, brother, and friend were caught in a message sent by the criminal, so I immediately called the Kakao Customer Center and filed a complaint. I just sent my ID card and photo so that I could not confirm the exact contents of the inquiry."

"In addition to KakaoTalk, hacking and phishing through messengers and SNS will increase further in the future. In particular, SNS can be shared with the public. We need to be concerned about protecting personal information, such as periodic password changes."
