LG Electronics has launched a TV using DeepThinQ, its proprietary AI platform.

LG Electronics stated that it plans to double sales of high-priced premium TVs this year, led by artificial intelligent organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TVs. In addition, the price of 10 kinds of OLED TVs released on the day was set 20% lower than the previous price to popularize OLED TV.

Especially, the company said that it has lowered the price of 10 models released this year by 20% compared with the products launched last year in order to popularize OLED TVs. The 55-inch products cost between 3 million and 36 million won, the 65-inch ones cost between 5.2 and 11 million won, and the 77-inch products cost between KRW 17 million and 24 million.
The company said that the global OLED TV market will grow from 1.6mn units last year to 2.5mn units this year, and will keep its dominance in the premium TV market with OLED TV.
"OLED TV has dropped to one-third of the price compared to three years ago," said HE marketing manager at LG Electronics` sales office in Korea.
