Once LG Electronics emerged as the emerging leader in the wireless cleaner market, which Dyson had in the UK, the two companies are in sharp conflict with each other in the fight against court.
According to the related industry on January 30, the third hearing on a lawsuit against Dyson against LG Electronics will be held in Seoul Central District Court on the 2nd of next month. Dyson filed with the Seoul Central District Court for a provisional injunction to immediately ban all advertisements, saying that LG Electronics` top-of-the-line wireless vacuum cleaner "Code Zero A9" After the first hearing on December 8 last year, the second interrogation was held on January 12 this year.
After filing a lawsuit against LG Electronics, Dyson recently insisted on the Korean Consumer Agency to add more items to the wireless cleaner performance appraisal and reevaluate it. As a result of the performance evaluation of wireless cleaners conducted by the Korea Consumer Agency this month, its products are slightly outdated than LG Electronics, so Dyson is required to disclose more detailed measurements than those of the evaluation results so that consumers can judge them more objectively. Dyson said the company needs to disclose two more measurements of the "niche dust cleaning" test, which is estimated to be somewhat inferior to LG Electronics. He also insisted that the performance of the vacuum cleaner filter should be evaluated by evaluating the efficiency of the vacuum cleaner by experimenting with the vacuum cleaner,
"Dyson has been monopolizing more than 90% of the domestic premium wireless cleaner market with over 500,000 won, and since last year it has been suing a lawsuit due to the market share falling by 50% due to LG Electronics counterattack."
This is the third time LG Electronics and Dyson are in a court battle. In October 2015, LG Electronics filed the first lawsuit against Dyson, pointing out false advertisements, and Dyson stopped accepting the ad. In February 2016, Dyson presented a new product presentation in Korea and demonstrated its comparison with its high-end products and LG`s mid-priced low-cost vacuum cleaner. I sued. The case was concluded with Dyson accepting LG Electronics` demands. Earlier Dyson filed a lawsuit against LG Electronics in December last year.
Meanwhile, an industry specialist said, "Dyson seems to have made such a decision, considering that the evaluation of the Korea Consumer Agency can be disadvantageous ahead of the third hearing with LG Electronics."
