Flagship store construction work in Shinchon, Seoul

Japanese home furnishing brand unmanned goods will show off the biggest flagship store in Shinchon after Seoul Gangnam and will start aggressive market expansion. It is expected that domestic and foreign brands will be fiercely competing in the university market, which is the main stage of the home furnishing market, where one-person households are concentrated.

According to the distribution industry on January 28, unmanned artisans will open the second flagship store in Korea in the first to fifth floors of the Fidelia Building in Changcheon-dong, Seoul, in March. The building, which has the headquarters of Mooji Korea, is under construction ahead of its opening. Shinchon flagship store area is about 460 pyeong, more than twice the size of existing flagship store Gangnam (270 pyeong).

This store is characterized not only by the store selling the goods but also through enhancing the community functions and experience space. "A lot of students are in Shinchon and there are many events on the weekend," said an unauthorized artisan official. "We will hold workshops and lectures in the 5th floor multi-purpose hall and use it for local residents."

The Korean home furnishings market is expected to grow from KRW 12 trillion in 2015 to KRW 18 trillion in 2022 as the number of single-person households increases and `self-interior` With the growth of the home furnishing market, unmanned nonprofit sales have posted double-digit growth for the past five consecutive years. Sales increased by 40% from the previous year to KRW 110 billion. Currently, the number of unmanned arts stores in Korea is 26, and it plans to secure 40 stores by 2020, including opening four stores in the first half of this year.

In addition to unmanned goods, `MiniSo` and `Flying Tiger Copenhagen`, which have entered the domestic market, are expanding their sales to 56 and 9 stores, respectively. In addition, Shinsegae Department Store recently pointed this area as a new growth engine and acquired a furniture maker `Casamia`.
