[Digital Times, Kim Soo-yeon] Korea`s entry into China is reopening, which was blocked by the "Han-Han-Gyeong (Restraint Order for the Korean Wave)" following the retaliatory measures of China`s SAD (High Altitude Missile Defense System).

According to the Korea Creative Content Agency (KITA), 141 Korean contents export consultations were held on December 19, 2016, at the Korea Culture Day and the Korea Business Center of the Korea Creative Content Agency. It is quite different from the one held in February last year when the Korean government started its activities in earnest. At that time, there was no export counseling or contracts based on the official aggregate value of KISA.

The Korean animation company A has signed a contract with the local advertising company, mobile carrier, and mobile content platform operator for the use of intellectual property rights (IP). The contract is worth a total of USD 130,000 (about KRW 140 million).

Besides, there were about 80 consultations for purchasing and alliance of Korean broadcast video contents requested by Chinese companies. KBS, SBS, MBC, and CJ E & M. Especially, the local response to the Korean broadcasting contents is that it is quite different from the situation that the Korean drama was not even updated on the video site as well as the Korean drama recently.

As the follow-up discussions are underway to cooperate with companies participating in this event, additional export contracts are also foreseen. Eighteen Korean companies participated in the event, including five broadcasting video contents companies, six animation production and service companies, two game companies, and five other digital content companies. In China, 87 companies selected as the companies that want to get in touch with them.

This is the result of the fact that it came from the first official exchange event between the two countries after the summit. The industry is taking this as a signal to re-open the way for Korean content to enter China.

An industry expert said, "The fact that the Chinese export contract has been concluded and the discussions for the export consultation have been actively conducted means that the reaction in China to the Korean contents is definitely changing." This atmosphere will lead to next year, I look forward to it. "

Meanwhile, KISA is planning to hold `Korean Contents Day` at the Beijing Business Center in February this year. A source from the agency said, "Through this event, we confirmed the favorable response of Chinese companies to Korean content. We will create a venue for content exchange among content companies in Korea, including 40 Korean content companies.¡±
