5G mobile communication frequency is expected to be allocated until June next year in order to achieve the world`s first 5G commercialization in the first half of 2019. It has not only focused on the construction of 5G communication network but also plans to supply mid- to long-term frequency of new industries and living areas that can create future food on the basis of this. It is the most different part of the 4G LTE, which only accelerates network construction.

"The frequency of the 5G mobile communication is very high and it has a stronger directivity than the low-band frequency, so it has a shorter reach and is affected by obstacles like buildings." stated Ryu Jae-myung. 5G base stations are more compact than 4G LTE, In simple calculation, it is expected that the investment cost of 5G telecommunication equipment will take several times more than LTE, and if the burden of frequency allocation is increased, there will be a problem in early commercialization.

The Ministry of Information and Communication is planning to distribute the frequency for wireless charging of the car in consideration of international harmonization and industrial demand in the domestic after the establishment of the world frequency band.

Low-power & Additional frequencies are available for the diffusion of the Internet of Things (IoT).

Currently, the frequency for IoT is concentrated in the 900MHz and 2.4GHz bands. The government will push up the output and frequency of the 5GHz band in order to distribute the band frequency demand and prepare for the new IoT service demand.

Especially, the Ministry of Information and Communication will allocate broadband frequencies for public wi-fi so that it can raise the quality of open public wi-fi such as subways and get `Giga speed`.

Mr. Ryu also said, "In case of subway Wi-Fi, multiple users simultaneously access and use high-traffic services such as music, movies and games. Therefore, in order to guarantee their speed, a wireless backhaul system "If you build a wireless high-speed backhaul with a broadband frequency for the Wi-Fi band, Wi-Fi speed in the subway will be 100 times faster than it is now, so you can speed up."
