Some law firms are considering ways to file lawsuits directly in the United States, as Apple`s recent announcement of a "lawsuit"
Hannuri started a class action recruiting process for domestic iPhone buyers at the online lawsuit.com website on December 28, and over 6,500 applications were filed only on that day. Hannuri plans to collect lawsuits against Apple`s former iPhone owners, iPhone buyers (iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, SE, 7, and 7 Plus buyers) to claim damages against Apple. Lawyer Joe Gyeongchang, who is in charge of the case, explained that one of the lawsuits is that he is considering a US class action lawsuit against Apple in a US court or participating in a class action lawsuit that has already been filed.
This case corresponds to an incident that caused minor damage to an unspecified number of people. The class action lawsuits (a system in which some of the victims can file lawsuits on behalf of the victim), which are useful for solving such cases, are limited to the securities sector in Korea. The planning and implementation of the update is in the area of Apple`s headquarters, and the defendant will be Apple`s headquarters in California, USA. There may be a direct controversy in Apple`s lawsuit against the US headquarters. There are no institutional restrictions on the direct suing of Koreans in the United States. However, it is unclear whether the US courts will judge the laws fairly when filing lawsuits against Apple in the US class action lawsuit. Hannuri will collect the victims who want to participate in the lawsuit and proceed with the lawsuits in the form of joint lawsuits in Korea.
"Many iPhone buyers are interested and have been inquiring," stated Joe Gyeong-chang, a lawyer. "Apple`s iPhone performance degradation update hiding is not just carelessness. However, it is deliberately deceiving customers, and it has caused serious damage to customers in order to profit their profits. He said.
Meanwhile, Hannuri plans to recruit prospective applicants for two weeks until 11th of next month. It is expected to file a lawsuit in early February after confirming the specific lawsuit plan during the application period and then proceeding with the procedure for delegation to applicants after mid-January.
