LG Electronics is expected to showcase its homemade handmade beer at CES 2018 in Las Vegas next January.

According to the industry on November 9, LG Electronics` H & A business division plans to release domestic handmade beer makers for the first time at CES and launch in Korea.

A home-made handmade beer maker is a product that allows consumers to easily make beer by fermenting and aging for 10 days with mixed powder and water. In the United States, venture companies are attracting attention in recent years with the launch of beer makers that individuals can easily make.

LG Electronics has been developing Task Forces (TF) and related products for three years. However, during the development, former executives of the beer maker project were caught by the authorities trying to leak related technology, delaying the launch. They were transferred to the company`s internal computer through a personal e-mail account or by using a virtual private network (VPN) to access internal computers and retrieve files.

Meanwhile, LG Electronics representative said, "We will soon introduce a home-made handmade beer maker after the skin care machine," he said. "We were delayed to release it due to internal problems, but we know it will be released at CES next year." At present, domestic beer makers such as beer machines, sunbeam and mini brewers are sold.

LG Electronics launched a massage chair `Healing Beauty` in May last year, followed by a skin care business in October. In addition, the company plans to increase its product lineup to home-use handmade beer maker, which was not a mainstream home appliances business, and to make a breakthrough in the domestic market that has been saturated. "It is the first time that large companies have participated in the domestic handmade beer maker market, which is just starting to take off," an industry official said. "Because handmade beer makers are still unfamiliar to domestic consumers, proper marketing strategies are needed."
