Chung Woo-young, president of Honda Korea, is sitting on the witness stand as a witness to the National Land Transportation Committee's National Assembly on November 31.

Honda Korea has sent a letter to the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime to report a recall of a rusty new car. Honda Korea acknowledged the problem on its own and voluntarily announced that it would carry out a recall such as a free replacement of the parts through the official document, but it is not true. It is highly criticized that it is an obscene attitude to cheat consumers beyond the problem of vehicle quality, and to rush out of the situation.

According to the YMCA Automobile Safety Center on January 1, the CS Promotion Office of Honda Korea sent a letter to the YMCA center in mid August, which shows the details of the CR-V and Accord. The document states that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport reports voluntary corrective actions and accordingly, it carries out free repair and recurrence assurance on August 22.

According to the Ministry of Land, `corrective action` in the automobile management law actually means `recall`. Adding the word `voluntary` here means that the automaker will recognize the problem on its own and take action. This is a voluntary recall that the company will admit and take action on its own, unlike the `recall` that the management authorities order through investigation.

Meanwhile, as a result of confirming the Ministry of Land, Honda Korea did not report any contents related to the corrective action to the Ministry of Land. An official from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said, "By law, corrective action is a recall. He added, "Even if we have delivered false information about these contents, there is no current punishment."

Honda Korea representative said, "We know that the corrective action is in agreement with the Ministry of Land, and we know that the final (recall) decision is ordered by the Ministry of Land."

Consumer groups have made false allegations. YMCA Automobile Safety Center official said, "After the official reply, we checked the Ministry of Land and Infrastructure at the center level.

Honda Korea`s rusty new car controversy was raised in an Internet community in early August. Only about 900 complaints were received from the YMCA Automobile Safety Center. It`s been four months since the problem occurred, but Honda Korea has yet to offer much consumer compensation. Jung Woo-young, CEO of Honda Korea, who attended as a witness at the National Assembly`s inspection of the National Assembly Transportation and Transportation Committee on March 31, said he was "in the process of investigating" the rusty new car problem and did not give a special position other than "Honda Korea is
