The government and the National Assembly will jointly respond to Google, which has over 70% of Korean video traffic but does not pay interconnection fees. The Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Information and Communication and the Korea Communications Commission, as well as the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Fair Trade Commission and the National Tax Service.

On October 30 and 31, the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Information and Communications and the Korea Communications Commission held a two-day general meeting on foreign exchange companies such as Google and Facebook, and discrimination against domestic companies such as Naver and Kakao.

Besides, Yoo Seung-hee, a Democrat, said that Internet companies pay for telecommunication companies, saying, "Domestic operators such as Naver and Kakao pay hundreds of billions of won for network use, Google and Facebook have not paid a penny. While domestic operators are not able to provide high quality video services and are losing their competitiveness, foreign companies are increasing traffic around video services. In fact, Facebook has only five times as long as new traffic has increased tenfold in four years. The government needs to find ways to resolve such discrimination."

Mr. Se-jung, a member of the National Assembly, also insisted that "there is a concern that only domestic operators may be discriminated against because global operators are excluded from the regulation," the telecommunication business law should be revised so that additional telecommunication carriers .

Especially, directly questioned John Lee, CEO of Google Korea and Cho Yong-bum, CEO of Facebook Korea, mentioned "Do you intend to cooperate if the competition is evaluated by law?" Google and Facebook were slightly different. John Lee, CEO of Google Korea, said, "Although we adhere to domestic laws (local laws) in the global market, the same approach as global service "It is based on the California law to adopt."

It is confirmed that the problem of reverse discrimination of domestic companies compared with foreign companies is confirmed as true, but it has been confirmed that all the measures such as legislation, administration, and taxation are required to be regulated. As a result, there has been a growing demand for the National Assembly and the government to take common action.

"It is difficult for global companies to apply domestic laws in their business behavior and they are also facing tax issues. Therefore, the Minister of Finance and Economy, Yu Young-min, we will work with them to create alternatives. "

Meanwhile, the Korea Communications Commission also has the same position. Lee Hyo-seong, chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, said, "Currently, we are conducting a fact-finding investigation on the arbitrary change of the Facebook access route." We will review the facts as well as rational traffic management in general.¡±

Kim Gyeong-jin, a member of the National Assembly, also expressed his willingness, saying, "If the Korean government carries out a lot of research such as overseas case studies and provides alternatives, I will do my best in the National Assembly."
