Google, which is controversial about `reverse discrimination` related to Nong Yong-dae, recently reportedly requested domestic carriers to `share international cost`.
According to the telecommunications and internet industry on October 24, Google said to some domestic network operators (ISPs and telecommunication companies), "We have built international lines for the time being, but the additional capacity is inevitable because of the explosive increase in traffic volume in Korea, To share the cost of expanding the international circuit."
Google has inevitably ramped up its international lines as traffic from the country has exploded. Google`s international line is tied to its US headquarters and costs a lot of money to build it. So, Google has asked domestic mobile carriers to add a `net subscriber` to the international line. In fact, Google is classified as an `Internet portal` service that provides search and content services in Korea, but in the United States, it has the status of an ISP that builds a `communication network` like a carrier. It is the status of a `telecommunication company` that builds communication networks such as international lines.
On the other Google is a cache server installed in three telecom companies in Korea hand, instead of building an international circuit, and it can be used as a `cashless server` in accordance with the `interconnection` rules for international and domestic circuits and it was in a state where it did not exchange any expenses. If Google calls for cost sharing for the expansion of international lines, it is an international convention for domestic carriers to reimburse interconnection charges through reasonable negotiations. However, Google does not pay any additional interconnection charges for domestic traffic spikes, and it only calls for a share of its international lines.
