The Ministry of Public Administration and Security homepage (www.mois.go.kr) is expected to be transferred to the government (G) cloud for the first time among the government departments. In order to efficiently respond to replacement demand caused by aging of existing equipment such as server and database management system (DBMS), and to provide safe information such as earthquake, terrorism, bird flu and foot-and-mouth disease due to integration with the National Security Agency, Transfer service quality before moving.

According to the SW industry on October 17, the company will promote the G cloud business of its representative homepage from next month to February next year in order to provide stable web service.

The Ministry of National Defense, which absorbed the security forces with the launch of the new government, has become a representative homepage that both the public and civil servants access and use. Especially, it is an organization that manages a database (DB) closely related to national security such as earthquake, terrorism and avian influenza. In order to integrate contents such as servers, DBMS, WAS (web application server), etc., which were introduced in 2008, by replacing obsolete equipment and DB migration of safety-related DBs, the Ministry of Defense moved to G cloud instead of building new on- premises system. I decided to implement it.

This cloud business concentrates on realizing stable service by converting all web services such as children`s (safe country), video, manager service, and data into a cloud system, including the Korean-English homepage. Also, in case of an emergency situation, up to 450,000 people can access simultaneously, and a seamless web service can be implemented.

Existing equipment will be upgraded in order to provide stable service. Web server, WAS server, DB server, etc. SW is planned to be replaced with the latest version of WebUb (WEB), Zeus (WAS) and Tibolo (DBMS) The Department uses the G cloud system in Daejeon National Intelligence Service. The total amount of this project was set at 850 million won including SW separation order. Under the SW Industrial Promotion Act, large companies cannot participate in bidding, and separate orders for SW items exceeding 50 million won will be applied.

A related industry source stated, "We expect the government and public institutions to continue to move to the cloud, starting with the Open House."

A representative from the Ministry of Public Security stated, "We will select a business operator this month and enter the business in earnest starting next month.¡±
