[Reportage] In 10 `private information blind spot` waste zone

"It`s funny that no one thinks it`s a problem, but there is so much private and corporate information in waste zone."

A recent specialist an industry said, on-line Mall Interpark and Accommodation O2O (on-off linking) service is how a lot of personal information has been leaked by hacking, and while there is a great social wave, paper documents containing personal information are being laid waste by defenseless conditions. The reporter is stunned as he wanders around 10 abandoned places in Seoul and Gyeonggi province and confirms the actual situation with his eyes. From the bank account information to employment application form, transaction statement as well as request for proposal and accounting book along with medical certificate and inheritance report.

It was searched for XX resources and XX antiques from the Internet and visited the nearest abandoned place on September 19. In the abandoned place in Seocho-gu, Seoul, one-ton trucks were poured from early in the morning to pour out recycled materials including waste paper. They are specialists who sell goods collected from nearby merchants and shredders to waterworks.

A gravel merchant stated, "Gangnam area is called ¡®Nodaji¡¯ as it has a lot of unrestricted amount of water coming out from nightlife and commercial buildings. It runs 24 hours." Depending on the type of goods, Gangnam area is called Golden spot since it does not give additional permission to collection house business due to environmental complaints and surrounding complaints in Ward Office.

When we looked at the documents that were piled up in the abolition paper, we noticed corporate documents such as proposals from P Life. After confirming that the word of the seller was true, we moved to Gangseo region.

A branch of Gangseo-gu that deals with the amount of money coming from Gwanghwamun, Seodaemun, and Jongno areas, passbooks of K-bank and W-bank were scattered in Gangseo-gu.

Meanwhile, in another nearby abolition site, there were lots of applications for S Information & Communication. In the application form, applicant`s identification photo, resident registration number, address, and telephone number were exposed. The abolition chapter that we visited later did not differ. In the abolition zone of Mapo, there were a lot of documents from a tax office, filled with personal financial information such as credit cards and account numbers.

In the abolition field located in Gyeonggi, on the other hand, business books and tax invoices of SMEs were noticeable.

Besides, there are four kinds of waste disposal sites in Goyang area, including property inheritance slip with assets held by a specific individual, vehicle transfer certificate from a used car company, medical treatment and medical certificate of a hospital. . Also, security was poor, and documents containing these personal information seemed to be leaky.

An expert from the abolition industry said, "Although there is a guideline that paper documents containing personal information should be shredded and processed, most corporations and public institutions do not care about leaving the process to the companies." However, in the case of processing companies, "The more the condition goes, the more expensive it will be, so we will skip most of the shredding process. This is a reality in the abolition industry that the paper containing personal information is processed differently from ordinary recycled paper.¡±
