It will promote various businesses to create jobs by helping SMEs and venture businesses take advantage of 100,000 performance-sharing programs and hire 100,000 young people as full-time workers.
On August 28, Yeouido Small and Medium Business Administration held the `1st SME Jobs Committee` and reported six business plans to be implemented in the future.
The committee has been attended by representatives from industries and sectors such as Park Sung-taek, the chairman of the Small Business Association Council and the chairman of the Korea Federation of Cooperative Associations, and the regional presidents, such as the President of the Kyongju Small and Medium Business Administration.
The committee decided to propose a job policy task at the meeting. It is to find out field-oriented tasks by group, industry, and region, to reinforce unreasonable regulations by collecting opinions from industry and experts, and to strengthen the capabilities of SMEs. The standard model for SMEs, which applied the core contents of the existing job model index, is expected to be completed within this year and will expand from next year.
Besides, it will encourage companies to introduce a performance sharing system and encourage SMEs to hire 100,000 young people as full-time workers. Meanwhile, it also launches a `job mismatching pilot project` that links the employment of small and medium-sized businesses to global soldiers. The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business will hold the `2nd Global Small Venture Youth Career Fair` on January 31st at COEX in Seoul, where recruiting companies and job seekers will participate.
Small and medium-sized enterprises have adhered to the principle of introducing a minimum differential in wage increases and shortening working hours in relation to labor issues. The minimum wage increase was strongly demanded by industry. The ministry subdivides the less than 300 employees into four stages and prolongs the implementation period in relation to the shortening of working hours. Besides, a special law for the support of SMEs in response to shortening of working hours has been set up, and the request was made to expand the supply of foreign workers.
Park Seong-taek, chairman of the joint committee, stated, "The expectation that small and medium-sized venture companies, will be the center of jobs is a common recognition of governments, corporations along with citizens as well."
"In the United States, Ahn Gun-joon, Venture Business Association President said," In the past 30 years, the number of jobs in existing companies has decreased by 1 million. However, in the start-up, 3 million new jobs have been created annually, leading to the growth of the entire employment market. We can create a sustainable employment market by supporting the growth of the company with the scale-up policy. "
Han Moo-kyung, chairman of the Korea Women Business Association, said, "We will provide a viable alternative for improving the employment rate of women and improve the conditions of job creation," and added, "We will play a leading role in creating quality jobs through the women`s enterprise job hub platform."
