The AI revolution has already begun. It is an analysis that AI is causing a big bang which will change the lives of people as well as the economy, industry, society, culture, politics, education, traffic and so on. Experts pointed out that in order to respond to the "AI revolution," economic, industrial and social responses should be discussed.

The Digital Times held the `2017 Net Trend Expert Forum` on the subject of `Artificial Intelligence Big Bang, Future Society vs. Diagnosis` at COEX, Seoul on July 12.

On the day, Park Young-sook, chairman of the United Nations Future Forum, presented various future social life changes that AI is expected to bring to the keynote speech. Mr. Park said, "In the end, AI is the fourth industrial revolution, and AI is hidden in every part of the world. A humanoid AI robot, an air taxi flying in the air and a capsule train using vacuum tubes, Loops, biomedical chip implants and other biotechnology and medical fields are already rapidly changing.¡± He also said, "By 2030, information and communication technology (ICT) and AI technology development will reduce and free up industrial fields such as food and shelter, transportation, health care, energy and education. And most of the existing manufacturing sector will be replaced by AI."

There is growing concern that such AI revolutions will create diverse social problems. A typical example is the decline in jobs and the resulting polarization of wealth. Kim Jin-hyeong, director of the Institute of Intelligence and Information Technology (AIRI), said, "We should consider the dramatic decrease in working hours and jobs due to AI technology development as a social phenomenon and how to replace it." He also stated, "We need to discuss the social safety net as the income polarization is getting worse due to the decline in the number of jobs. We need to understand the AI`s capabilities, values and risks such as protecting the personal information of AI and finding the balance of industrial use. We have to prepare."

The government also showed its commitment to the future society. Kim Yong-su, the vice-minister of the future creation science department, said, "Currently, AI development is taking place at a remarkable pace, and its impact is not limited to the industrial sector but is spreading to society as a whole. It will provide a foothold for a new leap forward. The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning will focus on R & D on the advancement of ICT innovation technology, as well as public and large-scale projects such as 5th generation mobile communication (G) and Internet (IoT) We will continue to create the initial market."
