Dassault Systèmes has launched 3D Experience Lab (3DX Lab) in Seoul to support start-ups that will open the era of the fourth industrial revolution. It is the third 3DX Lab led various projects abroad after France and the United States.
Dassault Systèmes(CEO, Cho Yeong-bin) announced on May 31 that it has launched 3DX Labs for start-ups and innovators to implement technologies which have a positive impact on society at its InnoDesign headquarters in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul. "3DX Lab will help start ups of a new society by connecting the value of experience and design," mentioned Bernard Charles, CEO of Dassault Système who attended the opening ceremony. He also said, "We will be reborn as global start-up through design and technical simulation support.¡± 3DX Lab is a global support program of Dassault Systèmes which started to set up a new foundation for `Open Innovation` to enhance entrepreneurial spirit of Korea and enhance creative innovation ability of future society. Dassault Systèmes has identified the ability and reliability of start-up as the reason for establishing the first lab in Asia in Korea. It is expected that supporting infrastructure alone will enable business start-up to uncover global competitiveness as well as business growth. 3DX Lab will support ¡âcollaborative projects such as creating destructive innovation, ¡âutilizing collective intelligence, ¡âand social change. The goal of the lab is to establish a process that is constrained by technical competence, from start-up to 3DX lab engineering design and simulation. The requirements for start-up include: ¡âaccelerating innovation, ¡âmaking effective prototypes, and ¡âfinding new ways to make ideas come true.
Dassault Systèmes Korea CEO, Cho Yeong-bin said, "We are supporting projects not only for startups but also for global projects. We will continue to actively support projects that bring destructive innovation and have a positive impact on society through the use of collective intelligence. Meanwhile, 3DX Lab is located on the fourth floor of InnoDesign office, a partner company. From this year onwards, the company will select up to 10 start-ups each year to ¡âsupport the use of cloud-based 3D experience platform, ¡â3D modeling, engineering, simulation, manufacturing, data management, and marketplace applications.
