It is only six days since CEO Lee returned to management after participating in the group official event on May 17.

The CJ Group first prepared a work-family balance plan which emerged as a social issue. Employees are allowed two weeks of paid leave and two weeks of unpaid leave for up to four weeks for two weeks before and after their children enrolling in their elementary school. Besides, a new system has been introduced to allow for two hours a day for a maximum of one month in the case of an urgent situation with regard to the education of the child.

The group also increased the number of vacations related to pregnancy and childbirth. The current 5-day (3-day paid, 2-day unpaid) men`s spousal maternity leave has been increased to two weeks` paid vacation, and women£¿s vacation has also been increased the period of application for the reduction of working hours in risk of pregnancy period.

Meanwhile, the group also strengthened employee self-development programs. Employees who have been employed for more than five years can apply for a maximum of six months` leave of absence. A global training program for all new employees will also start this year. Accordingly, more than 800 new managers who have been promoted this year are planning to take training abroad in countries that have affiliated companies.

The CJ will also provide support for creating a flexible work environment. It introduces a creative leave system that can recharge for 4 weeks every 5 years, and pays KRW 500,000 to KRW 5,000,000 according to years of service. Besides, CJ will introduce a flexible work system that allows individuals to freely adjust their commute times based on the 8-hour work day. The group will start a campaign to prohibit job orders with mobile messenger, such as SMS or KakaoTalk after the work and on weekends.

On the other hand, the group introduced a `Career Challenge` system which allows employees to apply for other jobs they want when they work in a department or job for a long period of time, as well as a `Fast Track` program which allows executives to be promoted within 10 years of entering the company. CJ also reorganized the personnel system.

The CJ Group mentioned that the measures reflected the management philosophy of Mr. Lee, who said, "My dream is to grow people who work together and build a Great CJ through culture and talent."

Cho Myun-jae, head of personnel support division (vice president) at CJ Corporation, said, "CJ Group was the first company in 2000 to become a `big company` and also became a leader in corporate culture innovation through self-titled `naming` and costume independence. This has led to rapid group growth of the group." He also said, £¿We will lead a corporate culture that fits into a new era by building a flexible organizational culture where creativity is respected. "
