‘Hong Kong ICT Expo’, the biggest expo in Asia, is open

The start-ups equipped with innovative technology attracted a great deal of attention at the Hong Kong ICT Expo among the IT exposition, which boasts the largest scale in Asia with Taiwan`s Computex.

A total of 3,500 companies from 23 countries are participating in the Hong Kong Spring Electronic Expo and the Hong Kong International Information & Telecommunications Expo, which will be held at Hong Kong Convention Center (HKCEC) for four days from April 13 to 16. The latest robots, wearables, VR / Augmented reality) devices, Internet (IoT), and the latest SW ICT solutions are displayed in the expo.

Tech Hall, a new product of Hong Kong Spring Electronic Expo, consists of four themes: VR product, IoT product, Robot & unmanned product, wearable electronic product. Especially, more than 100 start-up companies from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, India, Japan, and the United States have launched innovative products and solutions in this newly formed start-up zone this year. These start-ups said they decided to participate in the event with the goal of creating an opportunity for investors to make investments and partnerships. Among them, the AR dual, dual-sided interactive display developed by Hong Kong start-up Dalian Innovation, the block-type drones developed by the Hong Kong start-up DIY and the VR / AR interactive 3D live camera developed by Taiwan start up view viewer have gained visitors’ attention.

Hong Kong Trade Development Bureau representative said, ‘We have made a start-up zone for the first time as there are a lot of start-ups who want to participate in this year`s event. We expect that innovative start-ups to grow and become a global company through this exhibition.’ Hong Kong International Telecommunications Fair has also created a variety of themes for customers looking for enterprise solutions. Information and Communication Expo E-Commerce Pavilion will show IT services and solutions such as cyber security, e-commerce platform, online payment, and on-off connection service (O2O). The Enterprise Solutions Pavilion will feature enterprise SW solutions for internal infrastructure and process operations. On the other hand, Hong Kong Trade Development Bureau was established in Hong Kong in 1966 to promote trade in Hong Kong. Forty-four domestic SMEs participated in the fair, which is the 14th edition this year.
