Galaxy S8 with stronger stability

`I am confident that Galaxy S8 has the best safety and quality among previous Galaxy smarphone series`.

Koh Dong-jin has mentioned the product safety of the Galaxy S8 after the Galaxy Note 7 recall last year at a press conference held at the New York Park Hotel on March 27, two days before the Galaxy S8 official launch event.

He said about Galaxy Note 7 recall, ？I personally participated in testing all the remaining stocks after the Galaxy Note 7 battery was burned out. I spent the three months in battery testing in Suwon and Gumi factories.？

He also regretted by saying ？We thought that battery problem was due to water proof or anti-dust function or due to manufacturing process. However, the problem was battery itself but not the phone？.

He also added, ？The Company has only recorded the results of the battery tests and did not analyze it. With this in mind, we introduced the ？8-point battery safety check？ process in January and applied the high safety to the Galaxy S8 .

Earlier, the company pointed out the battery problem as a cause of the Galaxy Note 7 burnout problem on January 23, and the ``8 point battery safety`` including the inner / outer inspection, X-ray inspection, battery leakage inspection was introduced. The company enhanced its safety under construction of a specialized team of parts, strengthening the software protection algorithm, and forming a professional-oriented advisory group.

President Koh said, ？I honestly do not know the battery process, and I have not been directly involved in the process. I am now confident that even though Galaxy Note 7 caused big loss for Samsung, this situation will be big lesson for the company future in 2020 or 2030.？

President Koh also mentioned, ？The name of Bixby of AI voice secretary has been made by conspiring 1,000 foreigners who speak English as their native language, and it means that there is no sex discrimination in the names used by both men and women. It is a name that anyone can easily approach, for example, foreigners easily understand the pronunciation of ``X`` and ``B`` rather than ``V`` in speech recognition.？

President Koh stated, ？It will take about a month to get the Bixby function to operate properly. We would like to launch Bixby as soon as possible in Korea and English, but it is important to show it properly prepared. The Galaxy S8 will be launched on April 21 in Korea, the United States and Canada, and then on April 28 will be launched in 50 countries, including Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong, and in 120 countries, starting as of May 5. The Bixby language support will be available in Korean, English, Spanish, Chinese and German.？

He said, ？Because Bixby is based on speech recognition, it has taken a lot of time to sort out different speech tones as it can be hard to recognize because of the intonation and speech. Engineers have been developing Bixby for five to six years and now it is going to start. The voice of Bixby was said to have been recorded by the Singer Horan. If the product is released on April 21, the Bixby will support only Korean version first, and English version will be available from May

President Koh said, ？The Galaxy S8 has been equipped with at least two years of hardware and at least five to six years of software technology comparing to Galaxy S5 which was equipped with various software and Galaxy Note 7 which was equipped with only iris recognition technology？
