Careful caution is required as recently ``Smartphone battery infection will cause damage to the phone system`` warning message that cheats phone users has been spreading.

According to the security industry on March 28, smart phone batteries have been infected with viruses, causing users to download apps and infecting their phones with real malicious code. When phone user surfs the Web via a smartphone, a vibration alert will sound with a virus alert and a message that display prompting the user to install a specific app as the phone battery is damaged. In the case of damage, the content and type of message in this pop-up window are various. However, there is a common point that the victim downloads the app unconsciously by limiting the count time for downloading the app.

One of the examples is that the Chinese mobile vaccine application ``GO Security`` to solve this problem in five minutes leads users to download the application to deceive and spread virus. Although it is not actually infected with malicious code, it is social engineering phishing, which is against the backdrop of the increase in hacking attacks aimed at the individual user and the increase in security consciousness and coping.

Especially, this warning message uses the Google logo and the name of the device of the smartphone, and hearing the vibration, which causes the anxiety of victims to increase. It is good to download only the vaccine app, but if it is a malicious app, the user``s smartphone could be infected with serious malicious code.

Hauri CERT manager Choi Sang-myung said, ¡®There is no CPU in the battery, only electricity, but it cannot be infected with malicious code. The infected battery and the malicious code mean possibility to manipulate the battery by making it look like it does not exist.¡¯

On the other hand, similar phishing has also appeared in another 360-degree mobile security app in China. 360 Security, which entered to Korea Market in 2015, led users to install app by the message of ¡®4 viruses on your Android system device could harm your device. If you do not get rid of the virus immediately, your phone data could be damaged. ¡®Although 360 Security stated that it did not go directly with the company, the company has been criticized it for breaking through 10 million downloads last year.
