Damages has been happening as security system of iCloud has been weakened.

According to CVE Details (CVE Details) on the analysis site on March 27, 31 vulnerabilities of iCloud have been found around the world (as of January ~ March). This is a surge compared to only 1 vulnerability case found in 2016. If we look at the vulnerabilities that are found, there are a variety of vulnerabilities, such as code execution vulnerabilities, denial-of-service vulnerabilities, buffer overflow vulnerabilities as well as memory corruption vulnerabilities. In particular, buffer overflow is an attack that allows a user to steal root privileges to a hacker simply by browsing a specific email or document.

According to Adaptive Mobile, a mobile security company, the number of iCloud accounts hacked by Chinese hackers by October last year reached 12,000, and damage is spreading not only in the United States but also in Europe and Asia. On the other hand, Apple, which boasts of its closed platform and operating system and boasts of ``backdoor security``, has no choice but to lower its pride.

In the case of an iCloud account is hacked, images, personal information, etc. stored in the cloud will be leaked and the privacy of the user will be compromised. In fact, the famous Hollywood actors Amanda Seyfried and Emma Watson were controversial because their iCloud account was hacked and pictures of high privacy were leaked. In addition to celebrities, there have been a growing number of cases in which Icloud accounts have been hacked from the end of last year in Korea.

Park Hyung-keun, CEO of Security Plus, said, ¡®Apple products popularized by enthusiasts have become popular, especially systems that have been called closed-loop ecosystems have been exposed to vulnerabilities through reverse engineering and become a new attack target for hackers. Although Apple tries to solve security problems, they have ongoing security challenges.¡¯

A Korean user said, ¡®I have not used Apple devices such as a MacBook or an iPhone for over a year, and my iCloud account password is different from other site accounts and has been hacked even though it has more than 10 digits with special characters and capital letters.¡¯ Another user said, ¡®I``m really scared to get hacked. I will never upload personal information or important files to the cloud or SNS in the future.¡¯

A security expert said, ¡®Although Apple``s system is still relatively safe compared to other operating systems such as Google when it comes to vulnerabilities or malicious codes, it is obvious that users are no longer relieved because attacks targeting Apple vulnerabilities such as iOS are soaring. Users need to change their password at least once every three months to prevent hacking, and if you``re hacked, you``ll need to factory reset your device immediately.¡¯
