There is tension and anticipation in the mobile communication market as the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 approaching. There are already a large number of cases where Galaxy S8 has already received its own presale list focusing on online and offline retailers. The LG G6, which was released on March 10, is also attracting attention.

According to mobile-service industry on March 19, some retailers have already started to make presale list for Galaxy S8 through online and offline.

Recently, the Samsung Galaxy S8 began teaser advertising, followed by the outsourced design, specifications, and release information leaked to the user through interest on the Galaxy S8.

In fact, on the March17 and 18, there were dealers of Jongno-gu and Junggu and Busan Suyu-gu, who received the Galaxy S8 teaser posters were waiting for inquiries and reservations.

A representative of one the retailers pointed out, ¡®There are a lot of consumers who want to compare and buy G6 and Galaxy S8. Although it is not yet open to public, there is a lot of inquiries about the Galaxy S8 with the release of G6.¡¯ Another store operator in Jongno-gu said, ¡®Only two people have written their names this morning¡¯. ¡®We expect the waiting list to increase in earnest starting next week. We are focusing on G6 sales now. However we are encouraging consumers to leave a contact if they come in contact with the Galaxy S8¡¯.

Many online retailers are collecting presale subscribers with various gifts and events. They point out that they are the fastest to open mobile-service and can receive their phones at the same time as they launch. They are striving to attract demand for standby with the prizes of gear S3, tablet PC and TV.

The Galaxy S8 will be launched at the same time in the United States and United Kingdom on March 29 (local time). In the domestic market, it will be officially on presale from April 7 and then officially launched on April 21. The industry expects that the Galaxy S8 has been priced at KRW 900,000 and Galaxy S8 Plus has been priced at KRW 1,110,000. Experts predict that the Galaxy S8 will reach a record high of 60 million units this year. The previous Galaxy S7 sales estimate is 49 million units.

Competition between Galaxy S8 and the LG G6 is also in the center of interest. Samsung Electronics began showing teaser ads for the Galaxy S8 about two weeks earlier than its usual counterparts in the G6, and then cut the price of the Galaxy S7.

Earlier, the G6 surpassed more than 80,000 presale, exceeding 30,000 in just two days of launch. The annual sales volume is expected to exceed 6 million units.

The mobile service market is expected to be very lively. The transfer of mobile phone numbers increased significantly in the first half of the G6 release, reaching 18,252 on March 10, 20,421 on March 11 and 23,292 on March 13. For the month, the average number of transfers per day was 13,700.

However, from March 14, the transfer of the mobile numbers has been shrunken again. Specifically, there were 13,131 cases on March 14, 12,191 cases on March 15 and 10,993 on March 16. In the mobile service industry, it is believed that mobile service companies are failing to over compensate subsidies due to the Mobile Terminal Improvement Act (Dantongpop) and that the demand for the Galaxy S8 is inexorable.
