It has been confirmed that Naver has recently introduced thousands of Huawei servers and network equipment in China. Naver has a cloud service for national and public organizations, and it is likely that the entire nation has Naver accounts, which is likely to become a national security and security issue.

According to the industry on April 24, Naver recently installed thousands of x86 servers and network equipment from Huawei and installed it mostly in Pusan Internet Data Center (IDC). In addition, China introduced a number of in-plant equipment, distributed to domestic IDC.

The problem is that Huawei equipment is being attacked by Chinese hackers, and the risk of leakage of important information is publicly known, and the US and India are taking measures such as prohibiting the introduction of such information. Experts point out that if Huawei equipment occupies Naver`s `courtyard`, which is actually a `national portal` in this situation, it is hard to be 100% sure of safety.

A representative from the industry familiar with Naver said, "We are constantly installing Huawei equipment on Naver IDC from the second half of last year to the first half of last year." In particular, we are concentrating on Pyongchon IDC providing cloud services to government and public institutions. "He said.

Naver, which announced its plan to establish Yongin IDC last year, has domestic IDC in Chuncheon, Pyeongchon and Gasan. Chuncheon IDC is mainly used for Naver internal and individual user service. PyeongChon IDC received cloud security certification from the government in February last year and is used for cloud service to national and public institutions. It is interpreted that Naver introduced Huawei equipment with good causticity to enhance the price competitiveness of cloud service.

Currently, the US government is banning Huawei and ZTE equipment due to national security concerns. The regulations on Chinese equipment are being reinforced. It is the US government`s concern that back doors (back doors) are installed on Chinese equipment, so that personal information and national secrets of the US can flow into China. In February this year, the US Senate initiated a bill to prevent Huawei or ZTE from purchasing or leasing telecommunications equipment. It is to expand the prohibition of purchase to the private sector as well as the government. The US Department of Commerce has taken sanctions against ZTE on April 17, "Prohibition of trading with US companies for the next seven years." The Indian government also banned the introduction of Huawei equipment.

"The server, which is the core of IT infrastructure as well as network equipment, has a back door for remote maintenance," said Professor Lim Jong-in, professor of cyber defense at Korea University. "Large companies with social responsibility and it are irresponsible to introduce it."
