KT is the world`s first fully virtualized virtual reality (VR) game.

KT will exhibit `Special Force VR: Universal War`, which combines 5th generation mobile communication (5G) technology with `Dragonfly` and `Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018` Said. DragonFly`s first-person shooter game `Special Force` is currently serving more than 100 countries.

`Special Force VR` is the world`s first fully virtualized virtual reality (VR) game with KT`s 5G network technology combined with `Special Force`. In the existing first person VR games, users had to play games with PCs ranging from 5 to 6 kilograms, recharging batteries or connecting them with a headset (HMD). However, KT has applied the `VR Workstop` technology, which transmits the video of the game PC directly to the smartphone, so that it can enjoy VR games wirelessly. In addition, using KT `s own anti - trembling technology, it reduced dizziness symptom which was pointed out as a problem of VR game.

KT also plans to develop technology so that users can more easily use realistic media such as VR and Augmented Reality (AR) for the 5G era. DragonFly will also allow users in other locations to play seamless VR games in a 5G environment.

The two companies will hold a meeting with global VR companies in MWC 2018 and plan to jointly enter global market. In addition, various VR games will be released starting with `Special Force VR`.

"We are very pleased to be able to release the world`s first commercial VR game with 5G at MWC for the first time," said KT. "I look forward to the future of KT`s realistic media world." He said.

Park Chul-woo, CEO of Dragonfly, stated, "We will take the global VR market forward with a different sense of immersion and greater fun through `Special Force VR`."

On the other hand, `Special Force VR` will be launched through VRIGHT, a realistic media experience space that KT and GS Retail will open together in early March.
