Samsung to integrate ¡°all IoT service with SmartThings¡±¡¦ AI secretary to expand a market

Samsung Electronics has integrated various Internet of Things (IoT) products and services into SmartThings and presented the vision of integrated Internet and artificial intelligence. The company also launched the Bixbee 2.0 to expand its AI secretary market. It is an aspiration to connect various devices, software, and services more easily and conveniently to augmented reality after virtual reality.

Samsung Electronics held the `Samsung Developer Conference 2017` at Moscone Center in San Francisco, USA for two days starting from October 18 (local time). At the event, Samsung Electronics announced that it integrated all company Internet of Things products and services such as SmartScope, ARTIK, and Samsung Connect into `SmartThings` to strengthen IoT service. SmartThings decided to connect all IoT platforms, ecosystems, applications, terminals and services with Samsung Electronics` integrated IoT service. The first step is `SmartSc Cloud`. Samsung Connect Cloud `and` Artic Cloud ` will enable consumers to control all IoT products and services in one place.

Samsung`s AI secretary, Bixbee Technologies, will also expand beyond smartphones to include smart TVs and refrigerators. On this day, Samsung Electronics also released "Bixbee 2.0" and software development tools. If Bixbee 1.0 was able to understand and operate the user`s environment and context on the Galaxy smartphone, Bixbee 2.0 was designed to be used in any product such as Samsung Smart TV and Family Hub Refrigerator.

Samsung Electronics plans to install the Bixbee on Samsung smart TV launched in 2018. Samsung plans to unveil its "Big Bits 2.0" software development tool, which will link Bixby to various applications and services, to all future developers. Bixby, which has been officially launched in May, is currently available on Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 + and Galaxy Note 8 and is used by more than 10 million people in 200 countries around the world.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics has announced plans to expand its strategic partnership with Google and to lead the virtual reality (AR) field following virtual reality (VR). Developers can use Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 + and Galaxy Note 8 users augmented reality services using Google`s augmented reality development platform `ARCORE` software development tool.

Samsung Electronics also unveiled the `Samsung 360 Round` which supports high quality 3D contents creation and live broadcasting for virtual reality. `Samsung 360 Round` is equipped with 17 cameras to produce the best 4K class 3D video and 3D audio contents in the industry. The `Samsung 360 Round` is expected to be gradually expanded from the US in October.
